  • Held regularly NDT training courses in the different methods and levels of proficiency since 1986 in collaboration with the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI). The NDT training courses are in accordance with the requirements and qualifications for the national certification and qualifications examinations.
  • Endorsed the establishment and implementation of national standard for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel, which subsequently became the PNS/ISO-9712:2006 after approval of the Bureau of Products Standards.
  • Endorsed to the National NDT Coordinator the establishment and appointment of members of the Philippine National Certifying Body of NDT (PHIL-NCB-NDT) to oversee the national certification examination of NDT personnel starting 1987.
  • Acted as advisory committee to the PHIL-NCB-NDT.
  • Organized dialogues with concerned management to discuss acceptance by industry of the national certification programs and accreditation of NDT laboratories and facilities.
  • Held annual conventions with invited local and foreign experts/speakers from the government and different industry sectors.
  • Published annually the Society’s technical journal – THE EVALUATOR, and distributed free to the members during the annual convention.
  • Established linkages with professional societies and other NDT societies for the exchange of information and expertise.
  • Designed and provided expertise in the implementation of the formal 3-year diploma NDT Technical Course being offered by a State University, the Technological University of the Philippines in Bicutan.
  • Conducted NDT Appreciation Seminars to faculties and students of universities and colleges.
